Heavy overnight rains lashed most parts of Chennai. The IMD weather station in Nungambakkam recorded 23 mm with most of the rain happening between 11:30 PM & 12:30 AM.

Yesterday Chennai saw cloudy skies right through the day with temperature not crossing 35°C though thanks to the cloud cover Humidity was high making it uncomfortable. While there was some late night thunderstorms brewing to the West of Chennai, unfortunately they did not make the journey to the coast providing no rainfall opportunities for Chennai.
