West Interior Tamil Nadu under a good spell of rains

Reading Time: 2 minutes

West Interior Tamil Nadu has been seeing a very good September so far with places like Coimbatore already seeing its highest September monthly rainfall with just 1 week into the month.  Yesterday also saw good rains in places along the Western Ghats and the interior places with Namakkal, Erode, Coimbatore, Dindigul & Theni districts enjoying a good day of rains.  Namakkal agro recorded 76 mm up to 5:30 in the morning being the highlight of the day.

Today also West Interior Tamil Nadu is likely to see another good day of rains with the areas along the Western Ghats likely to see moderate to heavy rains in a few places thanks to the moisture trapped from the Easterlies creating NEM type of conditions.  One or two places in Delta districts is also likely to see isolated moderate to heavy spells of rains at times.

Parts of North Coastal Tamil Nadu can get some spells of passing showers later in the night / early morning in a sign of things to come our way in possibly a month’s time. Northeast Monsoon.  Before that possibly some spell of convective rains may be possible during the afternoon thanks to the day time heating and the instability associated with the UAC
