Yesterday saw temperatures climb up a couple of degrees across most parts of Tamil Nadu with places like Namakkal, Salem, Karur etc inching closer to 100ºF mark while Chennai AP recorded 34.6ºC the hottest day of the year so far, nearly 2.5 degrees hotter than the previous day. Weather models indicate the next few days to see similar conditions to persist.
But what could have surprised many today morning was the dense fog that engulfed most suburbs of Chennai & many other places of Tamil Nadu. The warm day yesterday set the ball rolling for today morning’s fog as perfect winter conditions during the night ensured the conditions were right for a foggy morning. With hot days estimated by weather models for the next few days it appears many places will continue to see foggy start to the day during the coming days of the week.
