As we get into March the dreaded Summer in Chennai is around the corner. As an advance harbinger we have started seeing the night time temperatures in Chennai show firm signs of the changing season in Chennai indicating that summer in Chennai is not far away.
While for couple of weeks the day time temperatures have been hovering around 33°C the night time temperatures was settled around 25°C. But models indicate over the next few days the night time temperatures in Chennai are set to increase by around 3 degrees from normal. This is consistent with how the models are interpreting the behavior of how temperatures are expected to shape over the next few days over the East Coast of Peninsular India
On the whole the temperatures across the Indian sub continent is expected to see slightly higher than normal temperatures with more pronounced anomaly showing up in the Northwest Regions of the country.
In the meanwhile we are likely to see the isolated rains continue over South Coastal Tamil Nadu like the last couple of days under the influence of the Easterly Trough off the coast of Sri Lanka.
