With Northeast Monsoon around the corner the rainfall pattern would shift to early morning rains. In order to provide a better representation of the evolving weather picture we will try to post the expected events for the day the previous day evening from today. Today saw isolated spells of passing showers over a few areas of the city while suburban places like Poonamallee got fairly heavy spells of rains. Interior places in Tamil Nadu continues to get heavy rains at isolated places with heavy rains over Coimbatore, Tiruppur & Madurai districts getting heavy rains over many places.
Southwest Monsoon Update: Southwest Monsoon has further withdrawn from more parts of North India and some parts of Central India as well. Higher Temperatures have started to show up in most parts of West India indicating the withdrawing Monsoon. Further withdrawal of monsoon could be expected in the next couple of days.
In the meanwhile Bay is being monitored for the development of what could be possibly the last low of this year’s Southwest Monsoon. This evolving low along with the East West Shear Zone along the Chennai latitude is expected to give rains to most parts of Interior Peninsular India on 30th as well. North Kerala could be in line to receive another day of good rains tomorrow.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Another day with possibly lesser than normal temperature thanks to cloudy skies over most parts of TN. As has been the case over the last few days tomorrow could be another day of wide spread rains over the interior districts of Tamil Nadu with on and off heavy spells expected over a few places in Coimbatore, Trichy, Dindigul & places adjoining the Western Ghats. North Coastal Tamil Nadu could see on and off spells of passing showers in a few areas. Places around Chidambaram could get one or two heavy spells.
Chennai Weather Update: Another pleasant day & Cloudy skies on the cards with Easterly winds. Day time temperature expected to be around 33°C with isolated passing showers in the morning over a few areas.
