Last couple of days has seen some Isolated Rains in Tamil Nadu, particularly around the Southern districts with places around the Western Ghats. On the other hand we have been seeing the day time conditions continue to be oppressive at most interior places with Coastal places being hot and humid.
Aided by the tropical wave activity around the Equatorial region the Easterlies have picked up some bit of convection since yesterday resulting in parts of Sri Lanka getting good rains. This is likely to come to the rescue of Tamil Nadu as well today with coastal regions waking up under cloudy skies and possible light rains in a few places as well.
This Morning Rains in Tamil Nadu will possibly restricted to the coastal areas while later during the day the LWD comes into play and possibly bring heavier spells of rains over the interior places. Once again parts of Kerala & South Tamil Nadu will possibly enjoy the better showers with West Interior Tamil Nadu likely to see rains in a few places around Erode / Dharmapuri / Hosur region. These rains will be a welcome relief after what is likely to be a very hot day once again in the interior regions. Coastal areas could possibly see slightly lesser temperatures due to the persistence of cloudy skies in the early part of the day.
