After a dry spell for nearly a week to 10 days yesterday saw some light rains return back over parts of Ramanathapuram district. With a trough of Easterlies associated with a weak circulation seen over Equatorial waters of Bay the Easterlies have slowly made a return back over Bay and pushing onto Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu bringing the next spell of rains before officially the NEM season for 2020 ends on 31st Dec. 2020.
With models indicating the current spell of rains expected to happen over the next few days increasing in intensity from tomorrow the stretch between Pondy & Nagappattinam is best placed possibly to record the heavier spell of rains.
