Yesterday saw pretty much dry day over most of Tamil Nadu with warm weather prevailing everywhere. Trichy had a day time temperature of about 38.7°C Yesterday.
Southwest Monsoon Update: The Monsoon low is now over Odisha / Jharkhand / Chattisgarh Tri Junction and continues to provide good rains over most parts of East & Central India. It is expected to give good rains today for Odisha, Chhatisgarh, parts of East MP, parts of Vidharbha, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal. Meanwhile a combination of offshore trough & localized mid level vortex could give good rains over Konkan & Marathwada region in the West Coast. Peninsular West coast would continue to receive rains from the lower level moisture incursion thanks to the offshore trough.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Clear skies and dry weather to prevail over most parts of TN during the day with temperatures expected to top 36°C at many places. A few places in South TN could cross 37°C. Towards the late evening isolated thunderstorms could happen over few places in North Coastal TN.
Chennai Weather Update: Hot day ahead with temperatures around 36°C with mostly clear skies during the day. Some isolated spells of rains could happen in a few areas towards the late evening / night.
