As expected last evening and night saw Chennai receive some spells of rains at many places. Not only were these rains a welcome change but also has brought it a “Chennayil Oru Kodaikanal”
Places like Madhavaram etc in northern suburbs received around 10 mm of rains while Southern suburbs around Chennai Airport received about 5 mm of rains. The rains were fairly wide spread with almost all areas getting rains. Though it may not have been very heavy we will have to take what ever nature gives us.
Today is expected to be another cloudy day with some isolated spells of rains possible in a few areas. The day time temperature could be around 32 / 33 Degrees making it an extremely comfortable summer day by Chennai standards.
Towards evening / night some areas could receive heavier spells of rains this could be higher towards the southern suburbs of Chennai. Let us enjoy the Chennai Weather while it lasts.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh parts of Odisha & Telengana could receive heavy rains over the next 24 hours thanks to the evolving Low Pressure. While some parts of South AP & Interior Karnataka are also expected to receive some decent spells of rains we hope considering the moisture now available thanks to a strong monsoon current over Peninsular India we think a few heavy spells for Chennai is not completely unexpected.
