This interactive map aims to provide point based temperature and rainfall forecast for all State capitals and Taluks of India. The forecast data for the closest grid points for the respective cities are plotted. Please note along the coastline for some cities the closest grid may be in the sea which could impact the forecast values. You can toggle the display layers in the menu over the top right hand corner. For ease of use the taluks in the Southern states have been given as individual states and for the rest of the country as regions. When you click either the markers (Capitals or Taluks) the pop up will show Maximum and Minimum Temperature forecast, Heat Index (Universal Thermal Comfort Index) and 24 Hour Rainfall accumulation. The forecast period is available for a period of 3 days.
All efforts have been made to include the latest available taluks. The above point based temperature and rainfall forecast is generated using ECMWF grib data using Bilinear Interpolation method from the 4 closest grid points.
