As estimated by models many parts of Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh recorded rains with hailstorms yesterday. Aided by the Western Disturbance that lies over parts of Pakistan today we are likely to see many parts of North India record rains. Compared to yesterday the rain bands today are likely to be concentrated further North with parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Punjab & Haryana likely to be the biggest beneficiaries of the rains.
A few places in these states could get spells of heavy rains accompanied by hailstorms as times which could bring some damage to standing crops. The Upper Reaches of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand are likely to see snowfall in a few places.
While Peninsular India could be mostly dry some places in North Interior Karnataka & adjoining parts of Telangana could witness light to moderate rains during the day.
Most of Peninsular India is likely see slightly lower than normal day time temperatures as the upper air Westerly Trough provides some insulation along with partly cloudy skies could keep the temperatures in check. South Tamil Nadu though could possibly see slightly above warmer than normal day.
