After nearly 10 days Rainfall activity took a break over most of Coastal Tamil Nadu yesterday except for pockets of South Tamil Nadu and West Interior Tamil Nadu. The highlights where Dharapuram recording 33 mm and Tirunelveli recording 65 mm. Things look similar today as well with warm clear weather expected over North Coastal Tamil Nadu.
Numerical models indicate not much of rainfall activity over the state as a disturbance churns in the far East of Bay near the Andaman islands. We could possibly see some isolated rainfall activity in South TN and along the Western ghats but overall subdued phase of Monsoon is expected to continue.
The key event to watch out will be the developing Low Pressure in the Andaman Sea which is likely to hold key on the weather prospects for the next few days. With models showing wide variance in possible outlooks things remain fluid as of now. Be assured we will keep you updated as things evolve.
