Yesterday Chennai saw a comfortable day right through with the Max day time temperature not even touching 32 Degrees in Nungambakkam. As expected rains happened in and around Tambaram towards the evening with some heavy spells in places near Camp Road / Madambakkam etc. Whats in Store today?
As expected last evening and night saw Chennai receive some spells of rains at many places. Not only were these rains a welcome change but also has brought it a “Chennayil Oru Kodaikanal”
Bay of Bengal is ready to host the first Monsoon System of 2015. Currently the Upper Air Trough off Central Andhra Coast is expected to descend down to surface levels and become a Low Pressure Area in the next 48 hours. We can now for sure Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal is on the cards for sure.
It was a case of so near yet so far for Chennai once again last evening. The expected storms did happen near Chennai but in a late twist ended up giving rains along the latitude of Red Hills / Madhavaram & above. Places like Ennore & Minjur received rains in excess of 20 mm. So whats in store today?
